Donald Trump has emerged as the Republican Party nominee because there's a lack of strong leadership within that party. Both Republicans and Democrats cater to lobbyists.
Who's lobbying for the American people? Because of the outsized "donor class", meaning the unlimited money candidates accept, people running for public office will change their positions just for the sake of getting money in their pockets. It's legalized bribery.
In Politics these days, if Candidate A wants Candidate B seat and pays Candidate B step down, that's considered a bribe.
